Romanticizing everyday moments to preserve and celebrate the individual, communities, and culture.
A photographer that continuously researches for the best way to tell stories. Early on I was satisfied with the aesthetics of fashion photography, taking ordinary scenes and elevating them with larger than life characters. But as I became invested in larger stories, I realized fashion photography had a limit to the human connection that it could explore. Largely interested in the people rather than the clothes and makeup, I began to listen to peoples stories, and incorporate them into screenwriting for creative direction and scene design. This is an ongoing process to bridge the fantasy of fashion photography, with the precious everyday we celebrate with our friends and family.
